Trondheim, Norway: The feared salmon parasite Gryodactylus salaries can now be controlled with out poisoning the entire river This has been claimed by researchers at Sintef . They have discovered a new method that uses less of the toxic gas “Rotenon” By simply fencing the lower pools and treating them individually, this has enabled both brown trout and sea-trout population’s protection from the poison. While still in its experimental fazes this new technique has undergone trials in Aureelva in Møre and Romsdal. |
