World ski champ takes silver in fishing world championship

Olympic gold medallist Kari Traa crushed snowboard star Daniel Franck and walked away with the silver medal in the resent world championship for cod fishing. She competed along with 340 other fishermen.

The world championships in “Skeifiske” cod fishing was joined by two high profile sports stars from the Norwegian ski world. Much to the surprise of the locals Karri left Northern Norway with a new medal to add to her resent gold in the mogul contest at Salt lake city.
She managed a grand total of 11.kgs. This is a small amount if compared to the local professional fishermen but a ton if you compare Franks merger total, six kilo. One fish weighed over half of his total catch for the day. Karri was latter quoted as saying “It is breath taking here in the North”. She spent five hours fishing the world largest cod spawning ground with great success.
The champ

The grand champion is the one with the largest individual fish. This years winner was Sigurd Vargervik from Bergen. His fish weighed in at 12.8 kg. Vargervik went on to say it was a great day not only did he win the contest but he also had the opportunity to land a monster cod at the same time. The total number of entrants of 340 caught 1700 kilo of fish. The best result in a few years!
