Will stop free fishing in Møja

Landowners and the department of Nature agree that fishing cards should be introduced over the entire catchment of Møja

A work party from the department of Nature Management is hoping to introduce day cards for the mid- section of the popular lake called Møja. They claim that the profit from card sales can be used or a complete management plan for the entire catchment. This will enable a more stable platform for both control and research. Currently the remanding sections of this catchment are under control of the land owners group. According to the current laws have given them no control over the area in question. They fear that over fishing in the free zone will lead to reduced quality and stock number with in the now controlled areas.
