The season is underway. Tronder's first salmon |
|||||||
Finally the salmon season has started and fishbooking’s office crew manned the phone until the small hours. It was not until 3 am that the first report came in. Bernt Gjelsten took the first fish in Tronderlag and it weighed in at three kilo. This lead to a race to land the first “big” fish of the year and as it would happen by 6 am the phone rang. The boss was pleased to hear that two local rowers took the first beast. The lucky man was Kjell Persson and he was rowed by one of the rivers great characters Bo Olsson. Our crew are in Adie, which is a little further up stream, but as yet we have no word from them. We will keep you informed if they every return. Keep your eye on “Skot’s outpost” in our weekly magazine. He will spend a few days with Bo and we are certain there is a story to tell when he comes home |
