A unwanted pest in Alte river.

Seals have been sighted feeding in the lower half of Alte River in the last few days. Ivar Leinan is one of the local representatives for this river and he wishers to relocate the seals away for the river mouth.

Ivar has applied to the “Fiskeridepartementet” to assist with this case. He has explained that these seal are perfect predators and consume large numbers of salmon. Their timing is coincides with the arrival of the new seasons salmon. His point is that these seals can happily eat many other species and thus our salmon can be given the chance to complete there life cycle in peace.

At this time of year there is very little traffic along the river and he fears that the seals could be hunting in the upper half of the river. He plans on keeping a close eye on this problem to avoid a seal based disaster.
