The fish that almost got away!

A local fisherman in Dovre (river) caught a 2.3-kilo fish in the most unusual way this week. He found himself “catching” his prey!!

It not often that you hear stories that make you laugh but this week one landed on my desk. A local by the name of Kersti Lisødegård hooked what he believed to be a great trout. This of course led to a great fight with his future meal. Among other things going through his mind was that if he didn’t land his fish he would have no hope of anyone believing his had hooked such a perfect trout. The critical moment came when he was to land his fish. As so often happens, the fish spat the hook and began to swim away.

At the very moment the fish swished its tail to make it’s getaway he made a desperate lunge for the fish and managed to get a grip of his prize. Its not ofen that the one that got away is served for dinner but this time there was proof of his story!

He latter explained that thjis river is a magic spring river. With a good dose of ran it can really turn on the magic.
