The latest reports from Gaula clearly place it on the top of the list this season. Over 180 salmon were caught in the first weekend. The locals expected this but as we reported no one expected Gaula to produce so many fish in one weekend.
Gaulafossen (falls) is the number one beat with over forty salmon so far and an average weight of 9.3kg. The largest of these is a hefty 15.3kg. Other beats that are off to a fling start include Valdum/Lundamo. This beat has an average weight of 7.8kg and 27 salmon have been caught. The rivers largest fish was caught on lure in Kregnesvaldet by Gjert Kristian Øhrn it topped the scales at 16.7kg.
