Roger Hoaas og John-Ketil Hoaas have caught a few fish in their days but this week in Alta river they had the fight of their life. They were so luck that they managed to land one of the monster sea-trout that can be found in the river.

Hoaas- brothers drove to Mikkeli ready to fight the odd big salmon but what lay in store for them was more than they could bargain for. They managed five grilse and three large salmon but the sea-trout turned out to be an adventure.

They later explained that the trout ran so hard down river that the chance of it getting away was so high that following it by boat was the only solution. It was over twenty minutes before the fish was under control. Thank god for the boat was the word of the day.

The two brothers had already landed an eight kilo salmon and where certain that this to was a salmon. Yet they were suspect over the true identity of the fish. The only way to clear up any mistakes was to send a scale sample to the experts. This confirmed the fact that they had set a new personal record 7.7- kilo sea-trout.

As expected this was a fishy story that will be told again and again of the next few seasons!
