Morten Haraldsen from Bøverbru is mad keen fisherman and recently he has been in Stjørdalselva (river) tying his luck for big salmon. Included to this he has fished the deep fjords and great lakes but of late he has had luck with good trout fishing.

Sillongen has been his hunting ground since August and after days of fishing wobblers along the bottom he finally did it. A rainbow for 8.2 kilo. Not only was the fish bigger than Texas but also it put up one hell of a fight.

Sillongen is famed for it’s big trout and Morten has taken some of the best of the last few years. Fish including brown trout weighing over seven kilo. If you are wondering how it is you find the monsters from the deep then that is simple (if you ask the locals). Trawl the bottom with bright pink wobblers. In fact this is a method that well used here in Norway and for many of our larger lake it works a treat.
