Rainbow trout have long been blamed for the increase of the river killing parasite Gyrodactylus salaries. Now it has been confirmed that 18,000 trout are on the loose all of which will find their way to the nearest salmon river over the spring.

Gøsta Hagenlund the local fisheries officer has announced an open season until the 1st of October. The use of nets and long lines are permitted. Here is a great opportunity to fill your freezer with a good table fish. The fisheries officer is asking for the public to report their caught so as a proper count of these fish can be ascertained.
