Local river under threat

ill photo fishbooking.com

Kristian Bruvik from Arne sports fishing club was on the riverbank to inspect the damage caused by local council workers. Due to an uncontrolled leakage of high levels of calk most of next years salmon are under threat.

It was first reported that a layer of gold coloured foam was floating o the river surface. Ivar Kalland admitted that a large dose of chalk rich water was released in to the river by a group of council workers. This has lead to out rage by local members of the sports club. Over the last two years the club has run it’s own hatchery and as a result 50,000 smelt have been released. Now they fear that most of their investment has been lost.

This case has been reported to the local police. We at fishbooking.com only hope that the local council will clean up the mess they have created in this sweet river.
