The manager of the river managers group Andre Gjedrem has not yet the exact figures but he is happy with the season in his district. Here is a round up of how it went.
Skot
Over all the season turned out to be great considering the dry spell the south faced during the height of the season. Here is an over view of the main rivers in the south.
Suldalslågen
After the shit season of 93 the river managers have worked hard to improve the fishing. At last it is starting to show signs of improvement. In fact the largest fish was caught on the 4th of September and it weighed in at 13 kilo
Sokna
Our man in Sokna River, Tron Skjefrås has said that the building of the new power station at Lindeland has had an affect on the fish numbers and quality. Added to this they do not have their own hatchery so the future will show what happens in this river
Bjerkreimselva This is a classic south coast river and to date the figures have not been calculated but the local landowner has told us that it has been a good year.
Håelva Fishbooking’s crew have been for many good trips this year, along with Eirik we have caught some great fish. Unfortunally the dry spell shut the river down for the latter half of the season but all in all it was a good year for Håelva
