The Swedish government has finally taken control.
The Swedish government has said no to salt treatment of the much-hated Bullen fish farm. This farm sits on the Swedish border and much has been written about this particular farm here in the press. This farm is located in an important salmon catchment and has for some time threatened Norwegian rivers.

Tourist cheating the law
A new trend has started to creep in among tourist visiting Norway, stealing fish from fish farms. By standing on shore or casting from boats certain people have started catching salmon direct from fish farms along our coast. Not only is this against the law but it is an unchallenging form of fishing.

Germans have been blamed for over fishing and taking to many undersized fish. The current issue with the dwindling numbers of fish along our coast is a sore point here in Norway yet pointing the finger is never a good way to come to the bottom of any problem.

Big sea-trout in Aust-Agder
A large number of sea-trout over 3kg have been caught of late between Risør and Lillesand. The largest of these has tipped the scales at 7kg. It is not so uncommon that fish between 500 gr. and 1 kg are caught in the spring month but this year record fish are turning up in greater numbers.
